During Your First Visit
You will have a consultation with one of our Physicians to discuss your health-related symptoms, history, concerns, goals and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for our Physicians to learn more about you, your condition and expectations to determine what type of treatment recommendations are right for you.
Based on the recommendations, the Physicians may perform a Chiropractic or Acupuncture evaluation on you including neurological, orthopedic, postural and physical testing. If we determine that a Functional Medicine examination is more suited for your goals, a physical examination, urinalysis and InBody Bioimpedence testing will be performed. If the Physician feels that further blood work or testing is necessary, we will discuss this during this examination.
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. The X-rays will help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions.
During Your Second Visit
Report of Findings:
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed. The Physician will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
- How can you help me?
- How often do I need to come in?
- Does my insurance cover?
- What are my home care instructions?
- Are dietary or lifestyle changes needed?
After reviewing your health history, goals, examination results and any associated test results, the Physician will discuss recommendations and appropriate treatment with the goal of treating the root cause of the condition to support the body in proper healing and recovery.
At the conclusion of the second visit, treatment can begin. It is interactive so you and your Physician will discuss everything before starting treatment. Prior to leaving, the Doctor will be suggesting a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. This may include ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, at home exercises and/or stretches, supplements or dietary changes. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. Each patient will also be sent home with a description of their personalized care plan.
